If you've ever read The Bridge, the best thing you can do is just forget about it. It's one of the most unoriginal books ever written.
When Anna Conway is running away from her abusive boyfriend to her uncle in Montana, her car gets stuck on an old bridge and sinks into the river below. Only her infant son Jared is saved by a local fisherman.
Now, thirty years later, Jared is running to Montana from his "evil" ex-wife, and he's taking his ten-year-old son with him. There he encounters the very same bridge. It's just a coincidence, you know.
It's also a coincidence that the grandfather of his new girlfriend is the very same fisherman who saved him.
This book is filled with mediocrity and sensationalism. And perfect characters, too. This is probably the most generic romance you can ever think of.
And scenes about seeing Jesus on the bridge don't help this book. neither do last chapter conversions or reckless decisions at the end of the book.
Just take our advice on this one and don't waste your time.
