The Spear of Tyranny does not end the series correctly, in my opinion. It discards all the previous characters and comes up with a whole new cast that aren't very good or believable. As the Antichrist rises to power, he covets the spear that supposedly pierced Jesus' side and eventually gets it. Meanwhile, in Israel, sleeper cell groups of Jews are awakening and taking action to try to save their homeland. This part of the plot focuses on a husband and wife that are having problems because they are apart most of the time.
This series has degraded in quality with each book and I, for one, would have preferred the first to stand alone. To me, this book seemed tacked onto the end of the series because of the completely new characters. The only reason I can think of the read this book is to finish the series.
