It's hard not to like Dying Declaration because it's so realistic. I have to say, I was a little bit lost at the beginning because I didn't see any of the familiar characters Singer usually writes about. But never fear, for the plot bares the mark of Nikki Moreno.
The story follows a street preacher\small time lawyer who defends two parents who let their little boy die of appendicitis because they didn't trust the hospital. The case gets interesting and probably the most interesting part is the extremely original way they won the case. I've never seen anyone write anything like it before.
The characters are up to his usual caliber, including Nikki herself, as usual.
The only problem with the book is the slightly cheesy ending, but it really wasn't that cheesy. Truth be told, I don't really know what he should have done instead.
All in all, it's worth your time.
