Jade and Tanner were separated as teenagers by their families, and now they have been reunited as young adults. But in a moment of weakness, they make a mistake, and are separated again by an old woman who is the only person who knows the truth of what happened that day. Deceived, Jade runs into the arms of a man she never liked.
This plot is full of imperfect characters, a huge plus for this book. The main thing keeping this book off the Elite List is the predictable end. I believe it could have been more complex than it was.
But this is a plot based on the choices of the leads. And I believe the characters suffer for those consequences in the correct way. Thus, as usual, Karen justifies the predictable end.
There aren't really any problems with this book besides to predictable end. This book is definitely worth reading.
