Bell tries his hand at creationism fiction in The Darwin Conspiracy. It's about a professor who discovers a manuscript written by the supposed influencer of Charles Darwin. It's not especially well written but it gets its point across. The parallel story about the professor getting into trouble with a secret society after finding the document is completely amateurish and unnecessary. It should have been edited out.
The character of the influencer on Darwin is well developed, however.
There are certain innuendos throughout the manuscript that are interesting. Believe it or not, the manuscript is actually believable.
Though the book ranks low among Bell's books, there's no reason not to read it.
