Tribulation House is Well's best book to date. The book is told from a first-person perspective, which alone makes the book and Elite book. The lead is an extremely realistic and believable character.
When our humorous lead believes the crazy new pastor of his church when he says he knows when the Rapture is coming, the lead starts doing rash things, like borrowing money from the Mafia to buy a boat. After all, when the Rapture comes, who will care?
The other characters are good as well, but they all told from the warped perspective of the lead.
The end is unexpected yet humorous and all too true at the same time. No one can predict the Rapture, because only God knows the date and time.
This is the only book Chris Well should have ever written. His other two books pale in comparison to this book as he develops a humouros but serious story about predicting the time of the Rapture. An excellent read.
