I'm not a big fan of romance. A Time to Mend is one of those romance novels that, at the end, doesn't really leave you anything of substance to think about.
When a nurse at a cancer ward in a hospital gets diagnosed with breast cancer herself, she is forced to do some major soul searching. On top of her diagnosis, her boss is replaced with a mysterious man with a checkered past.
Sound familiar?
The two of them don't hit it off well, and the woman finds herself trying to avoid him. But when it is he that must preform her first surgery, she is left with no options.
You should be able to see where the book goes from here. The characters are nothing special. I actually applaud Angela Hunt for being able to write this book and make it as long as it is. Otherwise there's not much good about.
Most people will like because it's a romance, but I don't because I know Hunt can do better than this.
