You never know what Linda Hall is going to do. She could be original or mediocre. Unfortunately, Chat Room is mediocre.
When Glynis' friend Kim disappears with her fiancee, who she met on an Internet dating service, she hires Terri Blake-Addison to try and find her.
But Glynis isn't completely safe either. She has herself involved in an Internet church that isn't all that it seems. Hall makes no point to hide this fact. Chasco, the "pastor", keeps asking Glynis for money, and Glynis cannot resist.
Meanwhile, Teri is on her own trail trying to sniff out the aloof Kim and a mysterious girl named L.
This plot is pretty easy to figure out for those who have read a lot of mysteries. The characters are just okay. Parts of the plot fail to keep the average reader's attention.
Basically, this plot isn't really anything new. It would have been better if the villain weren't so obvious.
